Exploring the response of lattices to eddy currents

It is now well documented that eddy currents can significantly contribute to the QC and NDT of additively manufactured parts, either during the process or in post processing. To fully deploy its potential, the technique has to demonstrate its value for low density structures such as lattices, which are now commonly manufactured with PBF-LB.

ICAM2023 – AMiquam invited to present its latest results at the Conference !

We are elated to share our invitation to the renowned ASTM International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing (ASTM ICAM 2023) happening from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3, 2023, at the iconic Hyatt Regency – Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

The measurements you need for your Installation Qualification (IQ)

The IQ is the first step in the qualification of a manufacturing process. For a metal LPBF process, this means that the machine must undergo several tests before being used in production. They aim at demonstrating that the machine matches the expected performance which is specified jointly by the machine OEM and the customer.

Data Fusion – Eddy Current and Camera images

AMiquam releases a new Data Fusion solution for metal AM, merging AMiquam electromagnetic imaging and off-axis optical imaging (present in every machine). Combining ground truth and coverage, a new dimension for quality management of the metal AM process. Ready to create machine learning data sets for AI with your data, improving compliance and simplifying qualification. Many thanks to our partner Eric Baustert from Volum-e for letting us share the data.

ASTM E3166 standard on the NDT of metal AM components

In February 2020, ASTM has issued an important standard on the NDT of metal AM parts. In a summary table, the ASTM relates the possible defects found in metal AM parts to the appropriate NDT technique to detect them.

New projects granted with HES-SO Valais

We are delighted to annouce that our partner Prof. Haifa Sallem, from the HES-SO VS university has been granted a project on defect detection and characterisation in metallic AM parts, in collaboration with AMiquam.

AMiquam to present its results at the ASTM ICAM2020 conference

ASTM is one the most important body for the establishment of norms and standards in relation to the testing of materials.
